The Lead Campaigner

Jude Dunkwu is leading this campaign. He is motivated by what he has witnessed in the society. He believes that there are institutional obstacles and disadvantages against the most vulnerable class of humanity: little children with special and additional needs. What he finds very interesting is that the relevant laws are in support of these vulnerable children.

However, the institutions that are meant to support the children operate in ways, such that these vulnerable children are largely given or stirred towards what the institutions wish to offer them. These vulnerable children are not given what they either deserve or what they are entitled to.

Jude recognises that families caring for individuals with special or additional needs go through a lot of challenges: natural and man-made institutional challenges. The institutional challenges they face regularly are needless. The institutions make arguments based on what they do not have in place, after 10 years of the Equality Act 2010? As they continue to make such argument, that simply means that they will not have the needful in place for these vulnerable children. Put differently, the institutions do not appear willing to obey the law after 10 years, hence the argument regarding resources. That is a critical issue to this campaign.

Jude earned his first degree in Physics with Honours from University of Ibadan where he went on to earn a master’s degree in Industrial and Labour Relations (M.I.L.R). He has gone on to earn an MBA in general management. This was followed by an MEd degree in Educational Leadership and School Improvement from University of Cambridge. Furthermore, he has earned a PhD in institutional governance. As a trained teacher he has earned a postgraduate certificate in learning and teacher (Higher Education) as well as a postgraduate advanced certificate in educational studies (dialogic teaching) from University of Cambridge.

His career commenced in the auto industry at Mercedes Benz-ANAMMCO. He also worked in the banking industry at FSB International Bank Plc and Metropolitan Bank Ltd. He has gone on to lecture at University of Gloucester (London Centre), Trinity Saint-David, University of Wales (London centre) and Coventry University, London Campus. He was a professor at Hult International Business School, London and he holds the fellowship of the following professional bodies: Chartered Management Institute, UK; Higher Education Academy, UK; and Society for Education and Training, UK.
